Line & Shape
Line and Shape Reflection
Some of the pictures were close up and used macro, others were farther away. Most pictures were taken straight on. In the second picture, the point of view was from below, and the rest were basically from straight on. All of these pictures are horizontal. I didn't consider the rule of thirds i these pictures because at the time i didn't know what is was. The last picture in the album is a good example of a dynamic composition that leads the viewer's eye through the picture because the leaf comes from a distance and bends out of view.

Pattern and Texture Reflection
(Photo #2)
The distance was close, about a foot away. The point of view was below, shooting up. This picture is vertical. I did not use the rule of thirds in this picture, it was just a point of view from below. This picture represents pattern, because of the repetition of the triangles and rectangles.

Painting with Light
Painting with Light Reflection
Picture 1 Light Source: Blue, white, & green finger lights.
Picture 2 Light Source: Red, blue, green & white finger lights.
Picture 3 Light Source: Red string lights, red, blue, white, & green finger lights, and the exit sign in the background.
Pictures 4 & 5 Light Sources: Blue finger light.
Picture 6 Light Source: White, blue, & red finger lights, and multi-colored string lights.
Picture 7 Light Source: Green, red, & blue finger lights.
Picture 8: Green, red & blue finger lights, and multi-colored string lights.
Picture #5:
The shutter speed was 30 seconds. I used a blue finger light. To create the painting, i moved the light source in a circle and gradually made the circles smaller and got closer to the camera. The impact of the photo is how your eyes follow the line.

Reflection
Shadow and Reflection reflections
All of my photos were taken in the afternoon, and all were based on trees, structures, and mountains reflecting on large bodies of water. The photos of the mountains were taken in the afternoon in Maine. The picture of the trees in the fall were taken at an old factory in Swansea. The picture of the two cooling towers was taken while driving over a bridge in Somerset. There is not much shadow in there pictures, i based it more on reflection. The positive space in the photos would be the sky, and the negative space would be the trees, mountains, towers, and their reflections. Line and shape in photo 2, because the branches (lines) lead your eyes through the picture. Also, texture in the pictures is in the trees or bushes.

Double Exposure
Double Exposure Reflections
The images i selected for double exposure were pictures from the studio, on a timer in math class, and photos (water drops, rock wall, grass, painting with light) from inside and outside of class. The objects relate compositionally because the picture is a person or people, with an outside object over it. Some images were captured and transferred into black and white, the images in the 2nd layer were faded over the pictures in layer 1. The steps to create a unified image out of 2 different images were that we took one picture and opened another layer over it and lower the opacity.
